Suspicious Death
The Man Who Knew the Name
A dying stranger whispered the name of a man who claimed never to have met him.
A badly injured stranger was found outside a public house and managed to speak only a few words before dying. Among them was the name of local mill owner Thomas Bell. Bell denied knowing the dead man. No papers identifying the stranger were ever discovered.
