The Lantern at Crow Hill
A lantern appeared every night on a hill where no house stood.
For seven nights, a pale lantern was seen moving across Crow Hill shortly after midnight. A farm labourer followed it on the eighth night and found fresh footprints leading towards an old quarry, but the trail stopped abruptly at the edge. The lantern was never found, and no explanation was offered for who had been carrying it.
